Meet Tony D

Tony D grew up in Brooklyn, NY. Tony was the second youngest child of 6 children, raised in a classic Italian family.

Tony mastered craps at the age of 14. Tony’s street dice mastery becomes legendary. “I was a teenager who needed money,” joked Tony. “And my street dice winnings helped pay for my baseball equipment, provided my fun money, and even helped pay for my first car!”

At age 21, Tony went with his Dad for his first visit to Las Vegas. Tony won $9,000 on the craps table on his first night! “I was hooked!” said Tony. “The town seemed magical! Great food. Non-stop fun. Little did I realize that first night, you don’t win all the time! I learned that lesson when I put back all my winnings the second night!” he said, laughing.

Tony got employed at one of the top Las Vegas casinos, and he worked his way up to craps dealer. In 1996, Tony moved over to the sports book, and he later became the Sports Book Manager at another major casino. Tony worked with Las Vegas’ top sports handicappers, who provide the odds to most of Las Vegas’ top sports books.

In 2015, Tony opened up his first sports handicapping firm. “It’s all about the system,” Tony said. “Most leisure gamblers don’t realize, there are dozens of factors you look at, in handicapping pro football for example; Who’s trending hot. Who’s trending cold. How each team ranks with penalties. Injuries, of course. And now, AI is helping us handicap the games.”

“The whales look at all these things. That’s why they’re able to stay whales, who are the only group of gamblers that I know anyway, who win more than they lose.“

“These whales look at everything that we, the handicappers, are looking at. We’ve even looked carefully at the new NFL rules they’ve been introducing the last couple of years. HUGE! This “protect-the-quarterback” push, for example, has led us to automatically add 2 points to the over for all NFL games.”

“Even the game referees are a factor. Penalty-happy refs definitely influence us on setting the over.”

“That’s all I got,” joked Tony. “If you want more, buy my handicaps!” he laughed.
